Australian Family: Thailand : Chiang Mai

After 11 hours in a night bus, we arrived in Chiang Mai in the north. We have spent 2 days in the elephant nature park. This is a farm where elephants are safe from working, they try to protect elephants rights in Thailand. The sad story is that an elephant has to be torture (attached with hooks in the skin, beaten with wood and nails) for 3-7 days until it stops to scream at 5 years old in order to forget his family and obey to human, these days of torture cause a mental break. So please never ride elephant anymore!! an elephant can pull a lot of kg but its bones structure allow him to carry only 100kg on his back, after it is very painfull for him. Furthermore elephants are very sensitive from feet, they can feel vibrations and this is useful to communicate but in the cities close to cars and bus the vibrations are too strong and this is very painfull for them, so to stop the elephant business in the cities do not pay to touch or feed elephants in the cities!!
